The online questionnaire accurately interprets the IRS's "20 Factors" to evaluate each contractor and to place them in the appropriate workforce classification. If the contractor evaluation supports their status as an independent contractor, the company is assured protection during an audit.

ICon² is the only online evaluation process that guarantees objective and consistent classification results nationwide. Unlike recommendations determined by varying human interpretations, our files remain easily defended years later, long after the "people" are gone.

If the contractor status is in question, your best protection against the consequences of independent contractor misclassification is to put that contractor on payroll. When an independent contractor has the requisite taxes withheld, reported and paid quarterly, the worker is not a tax evasion threat to the government. The contractor is therefore not a threat to your organization for the back taxes, fines and penalties that may result from misclassification.
